Born into their world
Where lies are all so free
Deceit, distrust and worse
All around they're telling me
From a child they lectured all
With their tainted prophecy
Naive, but still I knew
This wasn't meant to be

Never could, never would, accept what can't belong
What I say, what I say, they never hear a word I say
Turn away, turn away, am I condemned to be forgotten ?
Now I try to show them all
their words could break and fall
My vision I have foreseen
Will elude their misery
But instead of words of praise
I'm labelled as depraved
Their ignorance blinds their minds
As my life is cast aside

Never could, never would, accept what can't belong

All this time, like a grain of sand, condemned to be forgotten
These wound cannot be healed
Was my vision much too real
In their anger and to their shame
They'll kill what doubts a name
I never wore the flag of hate
In this life I must forsake
They raped me of my youth
Fed me lies instead of truth

We took away his rights
Encaged for all to see
And punished him like fools
Our regret for eternity

Where torture cannot harm
And his soul will be released
